ONE LEG AT A TIME

I have in my lifetime heard about some incredible people with colourful characters and from all walks of life. One of them was a one legged man. He lost his leg in a forklift accident and it left him with a stump cut above his knee. He didn't give up. He climbed back from a dark hole that was his depression and though the leg didn't grow on him, he learnt to walk without it until they fixed it with the prostatic one.

What does it have to do with my book The Destroying Angels? The idea for writing it came to me when I was like this one legged man, looking forward yet standing still.

I wanted to show a complicated and dangerous world through Marjer's and Rewa's eyes, and their struggles to survive. I hope it's a fun read, if not gruesome at times, giving me hope that I achieved something. So, like the one legged man, I now clap my hands because if you put your mind into something, the legs will follow, one at a time...
